About Kevin D. Golden

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Elder Kevin Golden was raised by godly parents, Harold and Ruby Golden. Educated in the Cleveland Public School System, he graduated from John Hay High School in the June class of 1978.


After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Services from Cleveland State University, he became employed at the Cuyahoga County Department of Children and Family Services as a social worker, then as a social work supervisor.  He has also worked as a substitute teacher in the Cleveland Municipal School District.


Elder Golden accepted the call to ministry in November of 1982 and began pastoring Glenville Church of Christ (Holiness) U.S.A. in 1990, where he continues to pastor today. Elder Golden is currently working on a Masters of Divinity Degree from Ashland Theological Seminary. He is also currently the President of the Wade Park Cluster of Churches.


He has been married for 24 years to Beverly Golden.  He is the father of 3 boys, Kevin N., age 21, Reginald, age18, and Geoffrey, age13; and guardians of Beverly’s cousin, Gabrielle Moore, age18. The Duty of Man is Elder Golden’s response to the plight of Black Men in America.
